Despite all the noise and disquiet around us, the Hymns to Freedom Project is a reminder through music, why we need to pursue our struggle for social justice and human dignity. With the use of chosen narrative, historic references and hymns, we were told a story and also entertained.Jackie Richardson is Canada's hidden treasure. through narrative and song, her powerful voice is intentional, strong and pulls you in causing you to have 'goose bumps' Her rendition of Oscar Peterson's Hymn To Freedom is beyond words. This is an unforgettable show. Thanks Corey.

What an incredible experience at the Hymns to Freedom concert the other night at the Rose Theatre in Brampton. Such and incredible production and important message that was beautifully presented through narration and music. Congratulations to Corey for his vision and his incredible commitment to writing, directing and producing this wonderful production. One of the many highlights were the performances of the two students from Zamar who showed such incredible poise, grace and competence.Jeff & Stacy Russopromoters an and producersCrown Production Company

We really enjoyed the Hymns to Freedom Project at the Rose theatre and it was an honour for our son Robin to perform there. The historical and anti-racism theme was very inspirational and gave a gravity to the whole, well attended show.Zamar is an innovative music school providing a deep learning experience for both my kids. This has helped them to thrive in all their subjects beyond music!

Absolutely amazing show from the beginning to the end. MC’s were both spectacular, orchestra was beyond talented, the 2 students played very well and Corey the organizer deserves a standing ovation.

I am in complete amazement of Zamar Music Academy as they created a beautiful docu-concert for the entire community to enjoy! The music and emotion displayed was nothing short of phenomenal. I had goosebumps the entire night and I was moved to tears many times. I was especially touched by the original composition Secrets - there was incredible depth in that piece. The Rose Orchestra was spectacular and Jackie Richardson was the perfect touch! The students who performed that night truly showcased the great work they do at Zamar. Thank you for providing us with a truthful and meaningful art experience. My family and I are looking forward to more events like The Hymns to Freedom Project from ZMA!
